Devotions
Welcome to Winter
According to the calendar, this past week ushered in the start of winter. Hey! Whatever happened to autumn? Sure, we had a few lovely autumnal days here and there, but over the last few months, we have had many days of summer type weather lingering longer than it was welcome, as well as some wintery blasts of cold air to give us a taste of what is still to come. We also had some welcome showers of rain this last week – pray that there will be plenty more in the coming weeks.
The changeable nature of weather is to be expected. This is typical of our South Australian climate. It is quite normal to have such fluctuations in temperatures and weather patterns. Praise be to God that He never changes. We trust in a faithful God, one who can always be relied upon, one who is unchanging.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance… (Ecclesiastes 3 NIV)
He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Cor. 1: 8 – 9)

All are invited to hear our guest speaker, Pastor Grant Spangenberg, speak on and show photos of his visit to The Holy Land. His talk is titled “Journeying with Jesus.”
Ladies from other fellowships in Murray Bridge have been invited.
Donations towards the Ministry in Schools CPS Workers would be appreciated.
Members, please bring afternoon tea.

The people of the Murray Bridge Church of Christ invite you to join us for our time of praise and worship tomorrow morning, Sunday, 3rd June 2018.
Our time together will include songs and hymns of praise to God. We also celebrate the Lord’s Supper,also known as communion, where we remember the life, death, and resurrection of our saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ. Visitors who love Jesus Christ as their saviour are welcome to join us in this celebration, but this is not compulsory.
We also include some Bible readings and a message (sermon) from our guest speaker, Scott Combridge. Scott is currently the interim CEO of Churches of Christ in SA and NT.
After the service, you can join us in the Coffee Shop for a time of fellowship over a cuppa. We would love to get to know you in a relaxed atmosphere.
